Wedding day

Wedding Dance Lesson

After 30 years of teaching wedding couples the first dance, the best advice I can give you is that simplicity is your best friend and start at least 60 days before your wedding day.
After all, you do have enough things going on, so a simple dance to your favorite song in about 4 to 6 sessions will make you both perfectly happy.
Men generally do extremely well in Ballroom dance and once we establish lead and follow the rest gets pretty smooth.
Father daughter dance, I recommend just dance, no lessons needed. If he insists I can certainly help you out.

Preparing for your wedding dance can be such a joyous journey! Here are a few steps to ensure you’re ready to shine on your special day:

  1. Song Selection: Choose a song that is meaningful to both you and your partner. It could be a song that holds special memories or simply one you both love.
  2. Dance Style: Decide on the dance style that fits your song and comfort level. Whether it’s a waltz, or a simple slow dance, ensure it feels right for both of you.
  3. Professional Lessons: Be consistent with your dance lessons, i will work with you on your scheduling and make it as easy as possible.
  4. Practice Regularly: Practice makes perfect! Schedule regular practice sessions. Make it fun and enjoy the process together.
  5. Footwear: Practice in the shoes you’ll wear on your wedding day. This will help you get used to how they feel and avoid any surprises.
  6. Outfit Considerations: Keep in mind what you’ll be wearing. Ensure that your dress or suit allows you to move comfortably.
  7. Rehearsal: Practice at your venue if possible. Familiarizing yourself with the space can help you feel more confident.
  8. Mind the Basics: Focus on the basics like posture, eye contact, and enjoying the moment. Your connection and happiness will shine through.

Relax and Have Fun: Remember, it’s your special day. Don’t stress too much about perfection. Enjoy the moment and have fun!
